Informations about the Series

During the summer of 2021, Italian athletes achieved fantastic results in various sport events of the highest international importance, highlighting the great success of Italian sport. However, the unexpected sport goals achieved must be seen in a wider perspective in which the sports system, and more generally the world of motor activities, have been moving since the creation of bachelor and master degree courses in Motor Sciences, which are acquiring more and more importance not only in the news, but also in the academic reality.

In this sense, Sports Law has long represented a scientific sector of undoubted interest, in consideration of the continuous evolution that the discipline and the fundamental principles of this subject are experiencing, with a consequent increase in the complexity of the challenges that interpreters have to face.

The recent law reform started by the law of 8 August 2019, no. 86 and continued with the issuance of five legislative decrees in 2021, it is set precisely in this direction to rule better the sport phenomena, with the precise aim of creating a body legislation that rationalizes the various rules of the sports world, and try to overcome some of the problems of the Italian sport universe, which is characterized by a growing importance, not only in the national dimension, but also in the international one.

In this context, the Collection of book "Quaderni di Diritto delle Attività Motorie e Sportive" aims to offer to scholars, operators and all those who care about the fate of the sports system and motor activities, a tool for present, investigate and debate issues that are daily to the attention of the economy and also of politics.

The selection of the books is taken by a scientific committee made up of authoritative colleagues which have kindly confirmed their availability for a preliminary reading and evaluation.

This collection of studies intends to open a qualified debate on very actual and important topics, both with regard to the evolution of the sports system, and with regard to the relative system of motor activities, which are increasingly important in the pursuit of preventive policies for the well-being of the community.

The publication of the volumes is part of the Journal "Diritto dello Sport", which since 2007 guest studies on the topics of greatest interest related to the organization of sports activities, and reserving spaces for in-depth analysis of state and sport system sources. The evolution of the Journal in its digital version since 2020 and the Collection of books makes possible to create an avant-garde tool in the panorama of academic publishing allowing continuous updates and structured studies on issues related to law and sport.
