Abstract

The football match between Juventus FC and SSC Napoli, scheduled for October 4, 2020, was not played on account of health authorities banning the transfer of the Neapolitan team to Turin due to positive COVID-19 cases with two of their players. This article examines the decisions of the Sports Justice, highlighting some inconsistencies and, above all, the lack of evidence, by the Sports Guarantee Board, of a discernible antinomy in the contrast with article 30, paragraph 3, of the Federal Statute with article 54, paragraph 1, of the CONI Sports Justice Code. Primarily the identification and furthermore the resolution of this conflict is not negligible because it could have led to a declaration of inadmissibility of the appeal brought by SSC Napoli.
